I work on decision making under uncertainty, with a focus on climate change adaptation and long term infrastructure planning. My research integrates methods from civil engineering, systems modeling, and the social sciences to explore how policy and planning can remain flexible, robust, and responsive in the face of shifting climatic and socioeconomic conditions. I am particularly interested in the development of adaptive policy pathways and in how quantitative models can be used to support decisions that must account for complexity, evolving risks, and tradeoffs.
